Hi. I’m a part-time SAHM/consultant/post-doctoral fellow, that procrastinates on everything from laundry to writing my dissertation (I did however, finally complete it and graduated -the same weekend I had the babies). I live in Chicago with my husband and am a first time mother to boy/girl twins Lucas and Charlotte (aka Mighty Mouse/L’il Dude and Pushpin/Muffin). I’ve also recently completed my doctorate in clinical psychology and am searching for a post doc. In the meantime, I work from home part-time for my old employer. I love to travel, studied abroad in undergrad, took off for a month in 2006 to travel Europe, and I can’t wait until our babes are able and ready to travel as well. Ha ha, I know. Its a dream.
In the past I’ve had other variations of journals/diaries/blogs, but those were only about me. I wanted to have a place where I could write about my experiences as a mother of twins, and also to have a place where I could keep track of all the ups and downs of our lives. I’m usually sporadic in keeping things updated, but I really want to have a place where the twins can look one day and read about what my pregnancy was like, as well as what they were like when they were babies. As we all know, this time goes by way too fast!
ETA 4/8/2008: I’m probably going to spill over quite often into my own life and whatnot. Its impossible not to, as I am, a babbler. So if you’re here for just twin-talk, you’re in for a bit more info than originally planned.
